ENALMH SUPPORTS THE CANDIDACY OF ATHENS FOR THE ORGANISATION

OF THE 9th ICPPMH CONFERENCE IN 2022

Physical therapists play an extended and crucial role in the exploitation of Physical Exercise for the benefits of persons suffering from mental disorders. Aiming at the achievement of the common goals a promising cooperation is under development with the International Organization of Physical Therapists in Mental Health through the Scientific Section “Physiotherapy in mental health» of Pan-Hellenic Physiotherapist’s Association.  ICPPMH is a subgroup of the World Federation for Physical Therapy.

Within this context ENALMH fully supports the Athens’ candidacy to host the 9the ICPPMH conference which is to be held in 2022.

We strongly believe that Athens is the ideal city to host this prestigious international event as it offers timeless features, superior conference facilities and a strong medical and nursing community which will ensure the organizational and scientific success of the congress.  At the same time, a decentralized approach has a lot to contribute in the overall European concept.

The European Network of Active Living for Mental Health intends to actively promote the congress throughout its network in order to significantly raise awareness in the field of Physical Therapists in Mental Health among the professionals of the medical and nursing community in Greece. The Greek group of ENALMH includes, at the time being, four mental health services providers organizations as well as three Universities strongly interested in the conference’s topics and ready to introduce the Congress’s scientific results into their range of activities.
