Part of the activities of the Greek Network of Caregivers EpiONI is to hold informative events with the participation of professionals who provide answers to a wide range of issues of interest to caregivers of people with chronic illness or disability, among others.
EPIONH is organizing for the first time the two-day conference “Active and healthy aging for people with mental health problems or neurodevelopmental difficulties”.
The event will take place on December 12, 2023, 16:30 - 19:00 at the Metropolitan College of Athens, 42 Akadimias Street, Athens, and on December 13, 2023, 13:30 – 16:00 at the new premises of the Association Ermis, 1 Dragatsaniou and Bosporus, Elliniko (near Argyroupoli Metro Station, exit to Glyfada).

The conference will host notable speakers on both days, such as:
On the first day (12.12.2023):
Psychiatrist George Tzeferakos will speak on the assessment of legal capacity in clinical practice.
Psychiatrist Dimitrios Kontis will present “Healthy Aging for people living with mental health problems and Autism”.
Mr. Dimitris Theodoropoulos, Social Worker will speak about “memory therapy” for elderly people and people with neurocognitive disorders.
On the second day (13.12.2023):
Psychiatrist Evangelos Pappas will speak on “Wellbeing and Quality of Life for People with Mental Health Problems and Neurodevelopmental Challenges and their Caregivers, Promoting Resilience, Supporting Recovery and Lifestyle Changes”.
Psychiatrist Ms. Stella Stathoulopoulou will talk about empowering caregivers and cultivating mental well-being.
Elif Caliskan, MSc Clinical Psychologist, Izmir Tınaztepe University will talk about psychological pain management in adults with autism.
The conference is under the auspices of the Society of Preventive Psychiatry, ENALMH, ENIEA, and the European Association of Professors Emeriti.
